Naomi is a Specialist Child & Adolescent Occupational Therapist and a Senior Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner using CBT-informed practise working/consulting via Skype.

Naomi is an Occupational Therapist/Specialist Mental Health Practitioner with over 12 years’ experience supporting both children & young people and adults using cognitive behavioural therapy. She is currently working as a Senior Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner covering Devon & Somerset and previously led one of the specialist forensic Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) covering Oxfordshire. She has worked in both inpatient and community services and recognises that the environments in which we operate are fundamental to how we feel and to how we develop.

Naomi uses an holistic and collaborative approach using cognitive behavioural therapy to develop a shared understanding and meaningful therapeutic goals for the person she is working with. She is passionate about working with and supporting both children & young people and adults in their endeavours to understand their difficulties, develop strategies to overcome them and ultimately optimise outcomes and enhance their quality of life.

What Started Naomi Powell On The Path Of Becoming a CB Therapist

  • Naomi had CBT herself when she was younger which changed her life and taught her lifelong strategies. In training, Naomi saw first hand how CBT can change people’s lives and her career has been focussed on this since.
