Naomi is an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years’ experience supporting children and young people using cognitive behavioural therapy. She currently leads one of the specialist forensic Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) covering Oxfordshire. She has worked in both inpatient and community services and recognises that the environments in which we operate are fundamental to how we feel and to how we develop. She has a range of experience in working with complex presentations and has provided cognitive behavioural therapy supporting children and young people around anxiety, low mood/depression, deliberate self-harm, panic, OCD, low self-esteem, body-image difficulties and irritability/anger.
Naomi uses an holistic and collaborative approach using cognitive behavioural therapy to develop a shared understanding and meaningful therapeutic goals for the child or young person and their families. She is passionate about working with and supporting children and young people in their endeavours to understand their difficulties, develop strategies to overcome them and ultimately optimise outcomes and enhance their quality of life.
