Jennifer is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Trainee working/consulting online.

Jennifer recently joined the team as a trainee psychological therapist, studying CBT for anxiety and depression at Southampton University. Jennifer has worked with complex mental health and learning disabilities since 2011, with a keen interest in CBT and interpersonal difficulties.

Her favourite part of her job is talking to others and learning their story. Jennifer is passionate about connecting and being alongside an individual and making sense of their difficulties rather than making assumptions.

What Started Jennifer Hogan On The Path Of Becoming a CB Therapist

  • Jennifer’s route to becoming a CBT therapist started by having an interest in individuals with special needs. She studied Psychology as a way to find out how she could help and advocate for individuals. After working as a support worker for young people with autism and as an assistant psychologist in complex mental health, she felt becoming a CBT therapist was the next logical step to becoming a qualified practitioner. Her interest continues in how we can adapt CBT for individual needs and interpersonal difficulties.
