Afandi Mohammed
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Oxford - Saturdays

Afandi joins us from a decade of practising CBT within the NHS.

Afandi enjoys supporting people through a range of challenging experiences and conditions. He specialises in treating anxiety disorders, ranging from worry, panic, and social anxiety, through to phobias, agoraphobia, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He has also used CBT in the field of weight management.

To help people overcome these problems, he draws on a range of approaches and is able to make the best match between his patients’ needs and the therapeutic approach, whether it’s Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic psychotherapy or Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy.

Afandi has also offered employment support to people with severe and long-term mental health issues, helping them to meet their goals.

In his spare time, Afandi enjoys jazz, arts, and psychogeography.
