Dr Dimitri Gavriloff is a qualified Clinical Psychologist who trained at the University of Oxford. He has a warm, kind and respectful manner, and helps people to place their difficulties in a broader, less fearful context, so that they may feel more able to manage them. Dimitri is an experienced clinician, having worked for the NHS since 2011 in a number of different services including adult mental health and hospital based care for people with chronic pain and physical health conditions. Dimitri works with both young people and adults and has a particular interest in helping people with sleep problems. He primarily uses CBT and also draws on his extensive experience of mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dimitri is appreciated by his patients for the collaborative way in which he approaches working with them and the care he gives them. He believes that the key to successful therapy is in bringing together your expert knowledge of your life and circumstances, with his clinician’s expertise in therapy. Dimitri helps those with whom he works to understand the science behind what’s going on for them, and to develop practical ways of moving forward.
