Schools and workplaces expose us all to different people, personalities, stresses and worries and can have a huge impact on happiness and quality of life.  Our ability to cope with and enjoy these situation often directly correlate with our welbeing and ability to perform, interact and develop social skills..

We work with employers, managers, teachers and rehabilitation providers across the UK, providing therapy within a group environment. In some circumstances, you may be able to claim on your company health insurance policy for some treatments provided to your employees.

Our support

All support provided by Oxford CBT is bespoke and flexible, depend on specific requirements and the intended outcome of any therapy.  Any sensitivities or practical considerations are also taken into account and decisions are always made with the full agreement of the patient or their legal guardian.

The sessions we provide will provide a supportive and non-judgemental environmental, aimed at educating and motivating individuals and are always tailored dependent on the feedback of the patient throughout.

Sessions themselves are typically one hour long and can take place at our clinics or elsewhere, although we would ask that it is somewhere clean, comfortable and well ventilated.

At the request of patients, we can formulate action plans for homeworking between sessions, and/or arrange further appointments if necessary.

Stress management Adults
Stress is a physical response – the result of the body switching to ‘fight or flight’ mode, and releasing a complex mix of hormones and chemicals prepare the body for action. This causes a number of reactions, from blood being diverted to muscles to shutting down unnecessary bodily functions such as digestion. While this response can help us survive dangerous situations, it is often also the way we respond in inappropriate situations, reducing brain function and our ability to think clearly. In turn, if our bodies are in a state of stress for long periods, it can be detrimental to our health with side effects such as increased blood pressure and a decrease in libido. Work/life balance Adults
Work is a fact of life for most of us, taking up a large proportion of your waking time. However, it is only one part of your life and is part of the bigger picture that makes up your personality and happiness. If you are unable to achieve a balance between work and other elements of your life – family, friends, travel and relaxation for example – it is likely to have an adverse effect on your health, wellbeing and mood.  We can help ensure that both employers and employees are educated to understand this and that steps are taken to maintain this balance in the face of the inevitable pressures of daily life.
